Our Adoption Process:
Before we set up a meet and greet with the dog/puppy you are interested in adopting you must first fill out the adoption application in full. If you leave any questions blank your application will be denied. To fill out the application please go to the adoption application page, copy and paste it into an email, fill it out and send it back to pomfostermom09@gmail.com.
We will then check your references, and if your application is approved we will then set up a home visit with you and your family to meet the dog/puppy. The reason we do a home visit is to make sure our dogs/puppies are going to a safe, clean environment and the home meets the requirements of the dog/puppy.
Once the adoption is final the donation is non refundable, we depend on our donations to keep our rescue going.
You will be required to sign the applicable agreements and if agreements are breeched in any way we will remove the dog/puppy from the home!
Reasons you will be denied to adopt from Pom Prints Rescue:

You lie on your application or it is not filled out in full.

You do not have good references.

Your home does not meet our requirements or the requirements of the dog/puppy.

Your other pets are not spay/neutered or UTD on vet care.

The dog/puppy does not respond to you or a family member in a positive way.

If you rent your home you do not have proof of permission from the landlord to have a dog.

If the dog/puppy does not get along with the other animals in the home.

I you have ever given up or euthanized a pet in the past without justifiable reasoning.

If you live further than 1 and 1/2 from the tri-state area of PA, OH or WV.
When we have multiple applications on the same dog/puppy the applications are processed in the order they are received and there is no guarantee you’re the one who will be able to adopt that dog/puppy. We place our dog/puppies on what is best for them, and a lot of the times they chose the family not us.
